Any person with a good command of the English language and the ability to follow instructions is welcome to apply, including mature students, Grade 12 or equivalent. 

An admissions interview will be conducted to establish whether or not the candidate possesses the necessary interest, motivation, and entry-level abilities to participate in this programme. Full-time students must attend the required hours per week according to the course schedule and may do so at their leisure.

The Medical Office Administration diploma equips students with the fundamental knowledge, abilities, and work experience required to find permanent job in a variety of medical settings. Three types of skill development are available:

– A thorough understanding of medical administration, including medical terminology, transcribing, and medical office operations.

– Comprehensive computer and office abilities, including modern software applications, 40 WPM keyboarding, office administration, and accounting.

– Customer service, as well as personal and professional growth.

Career Opportunities

Medical Office Administration graduates work in doctor’s offices, hospitals, medical clinics, pharmaceutical businesses, government health agencies, and other medical office environments. They are essential members of the healthcare delivery team, performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. Medical Office Assistant, Medical Secretary, Medical Stenographer, and Secretary Ward are all common job titles.


The student must demonstrate the following fundamental competencies after completing the programme:

– Keyboarding at a rate of at least 40 words per minute (WPM)

A basic understanding of the Windows operating system is required.

– Microsoft Word proficiency is at an intermediate level.

Microsoft Excel knowledge is required at a basic level.
