Introduction
This course preps one to start a career in the field of personal assistance, a job that entails taking care of the physical, mental, emotional, and physiological needs of an ill, elderly, or disabled person. In other words, it involves ensuring the health and wellbeing of a person who is not fit enough to do so himself. Such needs include, but are not limited to, administering medicines, feeding, providing motor-assistance, and ensuring fulfilment of individual goals.
If you have a considerate and caring personality, along with a passion to assist others, our Personal Support Worker program might be the perfect fit for you!
Note: $2000 IS A REGISTRATION NON REFUNDABLE FEE. FOR INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC STUDENTS.
Career Opportunities
PSWs are employed in long-term healthcare facilities, retirement homes, supportive housing, group homes, hospitals, and educational facilities. As the number of people who need such assistance is not subject to changes in the socio-economic scenario, therefore, the demand for such a career is not subject to fluctuations on the labour-demand side.
Moreover, the average salary for a person employed as a personal support worker is $18 per hour, which makes it a wise career choice.
