Introduction

The Aesthetics programme at Elite Royal International Career College (ERICC) prepares students for a lucrative and satisfying future in the aesthetics industry. Students will learn to perform a variety of facial and body procedures, all the while learning about the important business and leadership skills that shall help them excel in today’s tough job market.

Career Opportunities

A student opting this course shall be open to numerous career options such as becoming a cosmetologist, hair-removal specialist, masseuse, make-up artist, instructor, and medical esthetician, etc. Moreover, they have the option to start an independent business and become an entrepreneur instead of working for some other institution. A beauty blogger is another highly rewarding career whose scope has widened recently.

Graduation Requirements
To successfully meet the program outcomes the student must:

Achieve a minimum mark of 65% in all of the module assignments and exams
Achieve a satisfactory rating in the internship evaluation

Inclusions: Learning to perform basic, intermediate, and advanced medical procedures on skin such as toning, cleansing, and exfoliating, etc.

Eyebrow and Lash Artistry

Certificate Course: Eyebrow and Lash Artistry
Inclusions: Waxing, lash extensions, and brow tinting.
Tuition: $1500

Make-up Artistry

Certificate Course: Make-up Artistry
Inclusions: Fundamentals of make-up application.
Tuition: $800

Advanced Hair & Makeup

Certificate Course: Advanced Hair & Makeup
Inclusions: Bridal concepts, hair updo, day, evening, eyelash extensions.
Tuition: $1950

General Science

Certificate Course: General Science
Inclusions: Infection control, advance histology of the cell and the skin, hormones, anatomy, physiology, chemistry, biochemistry, laser, light, energy, and radio-frequency.
Tuition: $800

Face and Body

Certificate Course: Face and Body
Inclusions: Facial techniques and full body procedures such as full body hair removal.
Tuition: $500

Science of Skin (Advanced Procedure)

Certificate Course: Science of Skin (Advanced Procedure)
Inclusions: Wellness Management, advanced skin disorders, skin typing, aging analysis, chemistry, ingredients and selection of products, botanicals and aromatherapy, ingredients and products for skin issues, and pharmacology for estheticians.

Skin Care Foundations

Certificate Course: Skin Care Foundations
Inclusions: Complementing the art of aesthicians.

Advanced Body Care

Inclusions: Spa services including hair, nails, skin-care, and massage.

Business and Retail Management

Certificate Course: Business and Retail Management
Inclusions: Financial business skills and marketing your business.

Admission Requirements

A Canadian High School Equivalency Diploma (General Education Development Test), OR

Equivalent: Foreign credentials must be translated in English and assessed for Grade 12 equivalency by a recognized organization such as WES (World Education Service) (refer to Section I-4.4)

Mature student status may be granted to applicants who are over 19 years of age and do not have a Canadian high school diploma or GED.

Wonderlic SLE (or other MCU approved test – Note: CAT and CAST can no longer be used)

Additional Admission Requirements

If English is not a student’s first language, they must provide proof of English competency. English Language Proficiency Requirements are:

IELTS – International English Language Testing Services – Minimum average score of 5.5 with no subject
TOEFL –Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet based test (IBT) – overall 80, with the minimum of each component: Reading 20; Listening 20; Speaking 20; Writing 20
CAEL: Overall 60 No section below 60
Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) with a score of 7 (no section score below 6)
Canadian Language Benchmark Tests with a score of 7 in each strand (not an average of 7)
Duolingo English Test with a minimum score of 95
Pearson PTE Academic with a minimum score of 46
NACC Written Entrance Exam (passing score of 60)

Evidence of successful completion of 2 consecutive years of full-time equivalent post-secondary study in English at a Canadian institution

Evidence of successful completion of 2 consecutive years of full-time equivalent post-secondary study in English at an institution outside of Canada
